It is small enough that the traffic is not crazy. I can get anywhere in a short amount of time. And, it's home.

Keeping the office running in a smooth manner.

It's always changing. New techniques and new levels of care for our pets.

Gardening, recording family history.

I chose to pursue an administrative career because I LOVE typing and dealing with people.

I am the Pet Travel Consultant for our clinic and I get a great deal of satisfaction ensuring that travel for an owner and their pet is as stress free as possible.

What brought you to Medicine Hat?
I moved here to attend college and then, a number of years later, moved back because I absolutely loved the city and the weather.

What do you love about Medicine Hat?
I love that it takes me 4 minutes to get to work, the milder weather, and that you are only 20 minutes from anywhere you need to go. The miles and miles of walking trails are fun to explore with my furboys too.

Why do you love veterinary medicine?
I enjoy seeing the excitement in new owners when they add an new pet to their family and the learning that I do every day.

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy spending time in my yard in the summer months, dabbling in photography and reading. I also enjoy babysitting senior, small breed dogs so that they don't have to go to a kennel while their owners go away.

I have 3 amazing furboys - 18 1/2 year old Kiesel, 14 year old Fidel and 10 year old Koda. All of my furboys are rescues.

I like detective work. I would find the zombies.

I wanted to work in medicine and with animals so it was a natural choice. It was a choice I made when I was very young as I enjoyed being around animals on the family farm.

Short winters and warm summers.

Variety and problem solving since animals can't talk.

I love medicine and fixing problems, I love to comfort animals when they are distressed.

My husband's work.

What are your special interests in veterinary medicine?
Pain reduction and thinking outside the box to improve quality of life in pets. This is why rehabilitation techniques are so important.

What do you love about Medicine Hat?
I love the small community, with a city-like feel. I love the river as well. It reminds me of a small Saskatoon (which is where I am from) in it's beautiful parks, trails and outdoor activities.

Why do you love veterinary medicine?
It's a way to combine my love of medicine and animals.

Sports (watching and playing), reading, paddle boarding and crafting with my daughter.

Dentistry is my biggest passion but I also love emergency medicine.

What do you love about Medicine Hat?
There are so many walking trails both on and off leash. Everything in the city is relatively easy and quick to get to. Also, it's close to the American border which makes for great trips, like to Glacier National Park.

Why did you become a registered veterinary technologist?
I always wanted to help animals. They can't tell us what is wrong so it's our job to "listen" extra hard and help advocate for them and educating the owners about their particular pets.

Getting to help animals and educate their owners about preventative care.

Sewing, baking, walking the dogs, agility and movies.

I have 3 dogs and a cat.

I think outside the box. Turning dog food and cat food into acceptable meals can't be that hard right?

I grew up on an acreage outside of Seven Persons and moved to Medicine Hat when I was married. I still visit the acreage weekly.

Why did you become a registered veterinary technologist?
My own dog became very ill when I was younger and I spent a lot of time at a clinic with her. I never know about veterinary technologists and became curious about the career and here I am!

A mixed mutt named Yotee and a black cat named Kit.

I could find the best place to hide.
